Asheville Outlets Hosting Diaper Supply Drive for Babies Need Bottoms Through Oct. 3rd

During Diaper Need Awareness Week, Asheville Outlets will help close the diaper gap in Western North Carolina. Diaper need has risen dramatically since the beginning of the pandemic, and Asheville Outlets is partnering with Babies Need Bottoms to host a supply drive from Monday, September 27, through Sunday, October 3, 2021.

Donations of diapers and baby wipes can be placed in the marked bins in the Food Court. For more information, or for those who need diapers, visit BabiesNeedBottoms.org.

Babies Beed Bottoms distributes supplies to their nonprofit partners who serve families facing diaper need in 7 counties in WNC, to help cover over 1,300 bottoms every month. Founded in 2017, Babies Needs Bottoms’ mission is to improve the lives of babies, toddlers, and parents in Western North Carolina through diaper distribution, community awareness and partnerships. Financial donations to Babies Need Bottoms can be made at BabiesNeedBottoms.org/donate.

“Families in our community are struggling to afford the basics, including diapers. Donating a package of diapers or wipes goes a long way in helping our neighbors to keep children clean, dry, and healthy,” says Meagan Lyon Leimena, Co-Executive Director, Babies Need Bottoms.

“Many families struggle to afford diapers for their children,” says Asheville Outlets General Manager Miranda Bowman. “Asheville Outlets is pleased to host this vital diaper donation drive for Babies Need Bottoms to help families throughout our area get the supplies they need,” she adds.
