Brevard College Music Faculty Presents Annual Recital

Brevard College’s annual Music Faculty Showcase will take place on Sunday, September 16 at 3:00 pm in the Porter Center for Performing Arts, Scott Concert Hall. The recital is free and open to the public.

Performers will include voice faculty members David and Kathryn Gresham, pianists Koeun Grace Lee, Adelaide Kersh, and Vance Reese, flutist Dilshad Posnock, violinist Jason Posnock, and oboist Andrew Parker. The program will include music by J.S. Bach, Jacques Ibert, John Corigliano, and former music faculty member Harvey Miller.

Following tradition, the Faculty Showcase is offered on Family Weekend, allowing music students and their parents to get a taste of the faculty’s talents and interests.

In addition, this year’s concert will mark the twentieth anniversary of the Porter Center. (The facility’s inaugural concert took place on September 18, 1998.) A cake reception will follow the concert in the Francis Pavilion to celebrate this special occasion.
