New Solid Waste Guide for Citizens

The City of Hendersonville is proud to announce the new Environmental Services Resource Guide which was created for users of the City’s solid waste and recycling services.

The guide, along with 25 new 95-gallon roll-out recycling carts now available to businesses, is part of a grant received by the City of Hendersonville and Henderson County to promote recycling and waste reduction and was granted by the NC DEQ’s Division of Environmental Assistance and Customer Service (DEACS).  The printed guide will be mailed to customers who receive residential and commercial garbage services.

Last fiscal year, City of Hendersonville residents recycled 948 tons of plastic, aluminum, mixed paper, glass, and cardboard. This resource guide will answer common questions about what types of materials are picked up by the City and provide detailed information on special recycling programs offered to all county residents at the Henderson County Solid Waste Facilities at 191 Transfer Station Rd., Hendersonville, NC.
