The Hendersonville Community Coop and T.H.E. Center for Disordered Eating will present “Living Life in the Balance” on September 17, 2015 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in the Coop Community Room.

This diverse seminar will cover:

• Mindful Eating: overeating, digestive issues, sugar cravings…these issues that everyone seems to struggle with are ones that can be helped with mindful eating. Learn the art ..and find some inner peace. –Presenter: Kendra Gaffney, LDN RD

• Movement for Body and Soul with YAM (Yoga and Massage): You don’t have to beat your body into the group to be fit, strong and centered. Let the folks from YAM teach you how.

• Reclaiming Beauty: a session on body image. Do you find yourself stuck in negative thought patterns about your body and your self that rob you of your power and hold you back? Heidi will help you name your unique beauty, heal the obstacles that stand in your path, claim your power and live your life from your strength and beauty. –Presenter:Heidi Lynn Andersen, MS, LPC, CEDS

• The real “skinny” on eating disorders: Anorexia, Bulimia, Binge Eating Disorder: eating disorders are NOT a choice and are the number leading cause of death among all mental illnesses. Learn the signs, symptoms, and causes, as well as the resources your can tap to get help, and perhaps save a life. –Presenter: Carolyn McCarter Wood, LCM
