Bearfootin’ Art Reveal on May 8th

The Annual Bearfootin’ Public Art Walk is gearing up to reveal its creative collection for the 13th consecutive year on May 8th at 5:15 pm.

The Bearfootin’ Bears will take up residence in Downtown Hendersonville for the duration of the summer and fall.

This year’s band of bears has been residing with the artists who transform the bears from a blank slate that arrive in late January to the artful additions to our downtown that brighten up the district throughout the summer. Your opportunity to see the results of those transformations for the first time is just around the corner.

This year’s Bear Reveal, where our bears make their first appearance in downtown, is scheduled for May 8th from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. The event takes place on the First Citizen’s Bank plaza at the corner of 6th Avenue and Main Street in downtown.

This event is not only the first time that the general public will have the opportunity to view the completed projects, but it is also one of the few times you’ll be able to view all the bears together.

The Reveal includes Bear introductions and stories about their creation from our sponsors and artists along with live entertainment from the Bill Berg Quartet. We hope you’ll join us for this fun family event in Historic Downtown Hendersonville!

Music begins at 4:30 pm with the reveal scheduled to begin at 5:15 pm in the First Citizens Bank Plaza at the corner of 6th Avenue & Main Street adjacent to Mountain Memory.
