Light the Historic Courthouse Blue for Autism Awareness Month

The Historic Courthouse is  now lit blue in recognition of April as National Autism Awareness Month. The Henderson County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution formally designating April as Autism Awareness Month in Henderson County, and gave permission for the Historic Courthouse to be lit blue for the month of April.

Adam Farris, Director of Ability Shirts, a non-profit organization in Henderson County that believes that “No one has a (dis)ability, but everyone has abilities”, approached Henderson County staff about the idea of recognizing the month. For more information please visit www.abilityshirts.org.
