The skies will soon be lighting up all over Hendersonville, Flat Rock, and Brevard for this year’s 4th of July celebrations.

2023 Downtown Hendersonville Fireworks

Henderson County will launch an Independence Day fireworks display at sundown from South Grove Street. The fireworks can be viewed throughout downtown Hendersonville as well as the south side of town; if you’re able to see the “Big Red Balloon” that goes up during the day then you’ll have a good view for the fireworks! V

The sparkling fireworks display starts between 9:15 pm and 9:30 pm, which will be synchronized to music on local radio station WTZQ, found at 1600 AM on the dial.

The Independence Day Parade in downtown Hendersonville will also be on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, beginning at 10:30 am. The parade will span from Caswell Street to 6th Avenue. Main Street from its southern intersection with King Street to 6th Avenue will close at 8 am with no parking permitted along the parade route starting at 8 am. Traffic will still be able to traverse the avenues until 10 am when they will close in preparation for event.

Brevard Fireworks

The Brevard Independence Day Celebration will take place on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. This year, the festivities will return to Brevard College.

The fun kicks off at 2:00 pm and will continue throughout the day. Notable activities include live music at Brevard Music Center’s Whittington-Pfohl Auditorium, the Transylvania Community Arts Council Duck Race at 4:00 pm, and the reading of the Declaration on WSQL at 6:30 pm.

After dark, the fireworks extravaganza will begin between 9:20 pm and 9:40 pm from Brevard College’s campus. Find a spot to sit and enjoy the impressive and jaw-dropping display of fireworks as they fill the night sky with colors and light! Recommended viewing areas include Brevard College’s Campus and Jailhouse Hill (Broad St. from E. Main St. to French Broad St.).

Downtown Asheville Fireworks

The Ingles Independence Day Celebration returns to Downtown Asheville’s Pack Square Park on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. This event is produced by the Asheville Downtown Association (ADA) in partnership with the City of Asheville. The free event features The Ultimate Air Dogs, live music, local food and craft beverages, and a fireworks extravaganza.

Lake Julian Fireworks

Experience one of the largest and most exciting fireworks displays in the area with a view like no other as the skyline comes to life over South Asheville’s Lake Julian on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. The park offers picnic tables, a volleyball court, a playground, and more! The fireworks extravaganza blasts off shortly after dark (around 9:15 pm).
