Thanks to a generous grant from VayaHealth in summer 2021, The Free Clinics (TFC) added six psychotropic medications to its Community Pharmacy formulary that have historically been out of reach for its patients due to pricing constraints.
These include Brexpiprazole (Rexulti), Cariprazine (Vraylar), Paliperidone (Invega & Invega Sustenna), Vilazodone (Viibryd), and Vortioxetine (Trintellix).
Due to upcoming shelf life expiration dates, TFC has a surplus of Invega Sustenna that must be dispensed before September of this year. Invega Sustenna is a once-a-month injectable form of paliperidone that can be used to treat schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder.
TFC encourages any patients in Henderson or Polk County who are uninsured or receiving Medicaid to speak with your healthcare provider about whether this medication is an appropriate treatment for you.
