AdventHealth Hendersonville Addresses Blackbaud Data Breach

On July 16, 2020, Blackbaud informed AdventHealth that an unauthorized individual had gained access to their systems between February 7 and May 20, 2020.

Blackbaud further advised that the unauthorized individual may have acquired a backup of the database that manages the donor information for the organizations they support.

Blackbaud informed AdventHealth that the donor database that was accessed by the unauthorized individual may have included name, address, date of birth, telephone number, email address, gift type and/or amount.

Blackbaud advised that Social Security numbers, financial accounts, and credit card information were encrypted and not able to be accessed by the unauthorized individual. This incident did not affect the AdventHealth electronic medical record system.

Protecting the privacy and security of information entrusted to AdventHealth is very important to us and we are taking steps to assist those who may be impacted and to ensure this does not happen again.

AdventHealth is mailing letters to all individuals who were potentially impacted, as well as sharing this information with local media and posting this notice on our website.

The company is in contact with Blackbaud to understand what measures they will take to remedy the situation and prevent further incidents. They are also re-evaluating their relationship with Blackbaud.
