Smart Start Partnership for Children is hosting a children’s book sale on Friday, February 28, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and Saturday, February 29, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at Grace Lutheran Church in Hendersonville.
For sale will be thousands of new and gently used books for children ages 0-18. Books have been sorted by age and reading level and are priced to sell–most for $0.50 – $2.00.
All proceeds from the Book Sale will support early literacy in Henderson County through Smart Start’s Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library program. The Imagination Library mails a new, age-appropriate book monthly to children from birth (or whenever they register) until their fifth birthday, at no cost to families. Smart Start is currently providing a book each month for over 3,042 local children and all proceeds from the Book Sale will support more Henderson County children to receive books.
