7th Annual Turkey Trot Returns to Downtown Hendersonville on Nov. 28

The City of Hendersonville’s Wellness Committee will host their annual Turkey Trot 5K on Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, Nov. 28, 2019.

The Trot is a run-walk event open to all ages, all fitness levels, and all family members! The 5K starts in front of City Hall at 145 Fifth Avenue East on Thanksgiving morning at 8:30 am and travels through downtown ending back at City Hall. It is a rain or shine event! The entry fee is $12, which includes a long-sleeve T-shirt.

Registrations received by Wednesday, Nov. 6, will be guaranteed their T-shirt size. After that, no promises. Volunteers are needed and will receive a free t-shirt.

Three prizes will be given prior to the start for those preregistered: oldest participant, farthest traveled, and family with the most participants.

So, bring the kids, bring grandma, bring the dog. Be part of this fun event before sitting down to your Thanksgiving meal. And please note this is a non-sanctioned event – we’re here for fun and exercise.

Visit www.hvlnc.gov and look for the rotating announcement to register or stop by City Hall.
