The Back to School Fest returns for a second year with the mission of supporting children of Henderson County and surrounding counties as they prepare to return to the classroom.

The Second Annual Back to School Fest is partnering with Only Hope WNC to hold this event Saturday, August 17 from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm at Jackson Park. The Back to School Fest will feature games, entertainment, food, and plenty of school supply basics for kids in kindergarten through 12th grades.

Organizers say this year’s event promises to be even bigger, providing school supplies, educational information, and fun for even more families. Chair Debbie Roundtree spoke enthusiastically about the event. “Our goal for the Back to School Fest is to be able to provide school supplies for every child who needs them, in a fun environment for everyone.”

Representatives from area nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, Hendersonville Fire Department, and other agencies will be there, along with food trucks and other vendors with items for sale.
