Pardee UNC Health Care to Host Free Varicose & Spider Veins Treatment Seminar

Pardee UNC Health Care will host a free seminar on treatments for varicose veins and spider veins on Tuesday, Feb. 26 from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at the Mission Pardee Health Campus, located at 2775 Hendersonville Road in Arden.

Craig Miller, M.D., a board-certified vascular surgeon at Pardee, will discuss a breakthrough procedure for treating varicose veins called VenaSeal™. The nearly pain-free procedure can be done in less than an hour and normal activity can be resumed immediately afterward. Dr. Miller is the only provider in Western North Carolina who performs the VenaSeal procedure. Hewill also discuss treatment of spider veins using sclerotherapy.

“Varicose and spider veins are more than a matter of physical appearance –they can cause swelling, aching and discoloration,” said Dr. Miller. “They may also indicate that a more serious medical condition is occurring within the vascular system.”

The seminar is free and open to the public; light refreshments will be served. To attend, please register online at www.pardeehospital.org/classes-events. For more information, call 828-696-4246.
