Henderson County Tailgate Market is Accepting New Vendors

Here’s your chance to see what it takes to become a vendor at the Henderson County Tailgate Market for the upcoming 40th anniversary season.

A meeting will be held Thursday, February 28 from 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the North Carolina Extension Center, 100 Jackson Park Road. Rules and regulations will be available at the event and applicants can register while there.  Current vendors, board members, and Karen Blaedow, agent of the NC Extension Center, will be available for questions and discussion of experiences and commitment.

The market is especially excited as they’ll soon begin accepting SNAP/EBT and debit/credit cards for the first time since its beginning. The Henderson County Tailgate Market opened in 1979 featuring fresh county grown produce.  It is one of the oldest and successful open air markets in Western North Carolina.

This year the season is open to the public from April 6 through October 26 from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at 100 North King Street in the parking lot of the county office building.  Visit the Henderson County Tailgate Market website for additional information.
