Blue Ridge Humane Society is celebrating the love of rescue pets throughout February and seeking photo entries of adopted pets for their annual “You Can’t Buy Love But You Can Adopt It” contest.
Adopters are invited to share photos of their rescue pet and what a second chance at happily-ever-after looks like. Photo submissions are accepted online at www.blueridgehumane.org through February 28, 2019.
Contest entrants are kindly asked to include a $15 donation per photo entered with 100% of the entry donation going directly to veterinary services for animals at the Blue Ridge Humane Adoption Center.
Winners will be notified by March 4, 2019 and an opening reception displaying the winning and runner up photos will be held on Thursday, March 7 at 5:30 pm at Dry Falls Brewing. Dry Falls will be donating $1 per pint or 10% of overall sales that evening, whichever is greater, to Blue Ridge Humane Society in honor of all adopted pets!
“In the past we’ve raised over $1,000 for the medical expenses of our shelter animals through the photo contest” shares Angela Prodrick, Executive Director of Blue Ridge Humane Society. “These funds go directly to vet costs for animals still waiting for homes. We would love for your happy tail to make even more of an impact than ever before through this years’ contest.”
