A Black Tie Affair Benefits Local Family on November 9

Eat, drink, sing, dance, and help a local boy who is in need of a triple organ transplant! The fundraising benefit, titled a Black Tie Affair, takes place on November 9 from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am at Mack Kells, located at 160 Tunnel Road in Asheville. The evening will include karaoke, live entertainment by Jack Mascari and Marc Keller, “black ties” for sale, and a silent auction! Tickets are $20 per person or $35 per couple. All proceeds will benefit Noah McFall of Candler, who is awaiting a liver and double lung transplant.

Noah is ten years old. He loves Star Wars, playing video games, and his pet turtle. He was also diagnosed with cystic fibrosis, or CF, when he was ten months old. Cystic fibrosis is a chronic, progressive disease that affects the lungs and digestive system. Noah has been battling complications from this disease since the age of two.

In the past few months, Noah’s health has declined significantly. He has been diagnosed with CF-related liver cirrhosis, in addition to an already progressive decline in his lung function. He has been hospitalized frequently with life-threatening bleeding and is at great risk for other serious complications. Because of this, Noah now needs a life-saving liver and double lung transplant.  He is on the transplant list and will be the youngest person to date to receive this type of transplant. Noah’s family, friends, church, and community have been working together to help to help offset the cost of the transplants, and every little bit helps this local superhero and his family as they fight for his life.
