Hendersonville Community Theatre Opens Tennessee Williams’ Cat on A Hot Tin Roof

A scorching new production of Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning classic Cat on a Hot Tin Roof arrives at Hendersonville Community Theatre from September 21 to October 7.

Tickets are $12-$22 and are available online at HendersonvilleTheatre.org or by calling the Box Office at (828) 692-1082.

Tennessee Williams’ literary masterpiece explores family relationships against the backdrop of social mores, greed, sexual desire, repression and death. On a steamy night in Mississippi, a Southern family gathers at their cotton plantation to celebrate Big Daddy’s 65th birthday. The scorching summer heat is almost as oppressive as the lies they tell. Son Brick and wife Maggie dance round the secrets and sexual tensions that threaten to destroy their marriage. With the future of the family at stake, which version of the truth is real – and which will win out?

Directed by HCT Artistic Director Jim Walker, the cast includes Robert Walker as Brick; Shari Azar as Maggie, David Mycoff as Big Daddy, Nancy Colangione as Big Mama; Molly Carlin-Folk as Mae, and Bryan B Squared Byrd as Gooper

Showtimes are 7:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays and 2:00 pm Sundays. The show contains mature themes and adult language, some of which may be considered blasphemous.
