Hendersonville Rotary Club to Host 2nd Annual Lucky Duck Drop

The Hendersonville Rotary Club will hold a non-traditional ticket raffle on May 5th with proceeds going toward education grants for teachers throughout Henderson County. Raffle tickets are on sale now.

On May 5th, the Lucky Duck Drop will be held from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm in front of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Hendersonville.

The games rules are as follows: (1) each participant purchases one or more of the 5,000 total tickets. (2) 5,000 rubber ducks, each with number matching a raffle ticket, will be dropped into a large pool. (3) Only six ducks will be retrieved from the pool. The prizes will be as follows:

1st Place – $2,000
2nd Place – $500
3rd Place – $250
4th Place – $150
5th Place – $50
6th Place – $50

The Hendersonville Rotary Club is also hosting a “Duck Waddle” on May 5th at 9:00 am in conjunction with the Lucky Duck Drop in front of the Historic Courthouse in downtown Hendersonville. The one mile walk (“waddle”) or run will begin at the Historic Courthouse and follow Main Street. The cost is $10 and all proceeds will benefit Rotary Education Grants.
