Sunrise Run on the Greenway and Student Fitness Challenge: Our 5k and 10k course at the Catawba River Greenway is certified and chip-timed!
The running of the annual Sunrise Run on the Greenway will take place on Saturday, September 7th, the weekend of the Morganton Festival.
Saturday, September 7, 2019 (rain or shine.) Sorry, no refunds.
5K & 10K race-day registration is from 6:30 until 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 8:00 a.m.
Fun Run/Walk race-day registration is from 8:00 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. and the race begins at 9:30 a.m.
There is no race-day registration for the Student Challenge. Registration must be submitted to your PE Teachers and turned in by 5:00pm on Friday, August 30th.
NOTE: You can also pick up your packet on Friday night (September 6) at Catawba Meadows (the start/finish area) in Morganton between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m.

Directions
Take I-40 Exit 100, Jamestown Road
If traveling eastbound – turn left at end of your ramp, if westbound, turn right.
Proceed through light at intersection
Straight on Independence Boulevard to next light. Bojangles is directly across intersection.
Turn right onto Highway 181.
At the next light, turn left onto Sanford Drive
Catawba Meadows Park is on your left.

Restroom Facilities
Showers will unfortunately not be available at the park. However, the Catawba River is very close by. Restrooms will be open and available.
Awards
Trophies awarded to overall winners in the 1 mile fun run, 5K and 10K.
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk, 5K, and 10K – top three male and female overall.
You must pick up your trophy on race day.
