Welcome to the inaugural Land and Sky Relay, debuting on Saturday, November 2, 2019. This four-person relay race will take teams on a sixty-four mile journey from Asheville to Cherokee, North Carolina through amazing valleys and up and down breathtaking ridges. Upon reaching the finish line, an amazing post-race party awaits you with food, beer and the chance to swap stories with your fellow competitors at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.
The Land and Sky Relay is unique in that teams are comprised of four runners rather than the usual six and twelve found at the larger relay events in the area. A team this size will be easier to form and can use a standard car or SUV to travel the route rather than a rental van, saving time and money. There are other things that make Lake and Sky unique as you will see below.

Registration
Online registration for the Land and Sky Relay opens at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, February 12, 2019.
Everyone on the team must be 21 years or older.

In order to provide the best possible experience in our first edition, the race will be capped at 250 teams.
