hendersonville's monthly dose of cabaret, juggling, short plays, magic-acts, and more returns! The lineup this time, is better than ever offering all new material each and every month!Featuring local artists such as: Cookie LaRue, Tom the Magician, Vendetta Crème, Forty Fingers and the Missing Tooth Sophie the Amazing Dog, Jim Julien and The New Delicious, Bretian the Hungarian Accordionist, Julie Becton Gillum and Co., Lindsey Pruitt (Half-woman, half-violin, all amazing) Britta Filter, Comedic Sketches by Thomas Butler and hosted by... Brian Sneeden. "We aim not only to astound, to please, and to entertain, but to do so with alarming consistency; to craft a troupe of continually-developing performers and provide exposure to noteworthy new performers and acts; to build and nurture an audience who feel constantly reminded of why they live in hendersonville; to offer work, exposure, and artistic collaboration to all our performers; to provide 500 meals to hungry members of our community for every sold-out show and – ultimately – to instigate a new artistic movement in hendersonville in celebration and continuation of such fine American institutions as variety theatre, burlesque, sideshow and, particularly, vaudeville." The event kicks off with two show times (7:30 p.m. & 10:30 p.m.) on the first thursday of every month at the Bebe Theatre on 20 Commerce St. $12.00 advance tickets on sale at Malaprop's Bookstore and Cafe. $15.00 at the door. hendersonville Vaudeville prides itself as a charity organization and gives a full third of all ticket prices to benefit Manna Food Bank. Based upon annual budget numbers for projected audience attendance, the amount of funds raised will total $3000.00-$7000.00 in annual charitable proceeds. Based upon their past numbers, hendersonville Vaudeville has been able to provide more than 600 meals for each show. Come be entertained! Feed hungry people! Feed hungry artists!
