A new service is now available for those interested in selecting a
physician affiliated with Pardee Hospital. The Physician Finder, a telephone operated service,
allows individuals the option of requesting a hospital medical staff directory to be mailed to
them, or to speak with a representative of Pardee Physician Services for further information on
physicians. The service can be reached using the number: (828) 698-7312.“The Physician Finder line is a wonderful addition to the patient friendly services that we already provide at Pardee,” said Jennifer Hoots, director of Physician Services at Pardee Hospital. “This service offers the community immediate access to resources to aid in the selection of physicians in a wide variety of medical specialties. Pardee Hospital is fortunate to have a large medical staff comprised of physicians that trained in many of the finest medical schools and residency training programs in existence.” More than 240 physicians serve on Pardee’s medical staff, representing 35 specialties. Those interested in finding a physician may request a list of physicians in their desired medical specialty and receive detailed education and background information on physicians. Pardee Physician Services cannot recommend physicians, but will provide all necessary information to allow community members to make an informed decision on choosing a healthcare provider. In addition to the telephone service, a comprehensive 2008 Medical Staff Directory is available, free, in the main lobby of the hospital, at Pardee Urgent Care on Four Seasons Boulevard and at the Pardee Health Education Center located in the Blue Ridge Mall. Pardee Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953. The main hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds and is the second largest employer in Henderson County. The hospital has several locations separate from the main campus, including a 130-bed nursing facility, an adult day services center, a health education center in the Blue Ridge Mall, home care services, a rehab and wellness center, a midwifery program, various family and internal medicine practices, and an urgent care facility.
