Tickets Now on Sale for the "Sparkles and Champagne" Fundraiser!

Love’s Jewelry store, motivated by their passion of community spirit, is this year’s platinum sponsor for the upcoming gala event "Sparkles and Champagne" to be held at Connestee Falls Overlook Clubhouse on August 28.

Almost 40 years ago a local jewelry store called Parsons was purchased by the Love family and since then Love’s Jewelry has been an institution on Main Street in Brevard. This family run business consists of Bart and Pam Love and their daughter Tracey. “I grew up in this store,” said Tracey. “It is my life. And Brevard is my home.”

It is that compassion for community that Tracey encouraged her parents to support the “Sparkles and Champagne” event. Love’s Jewelry store is donating a $5000 diamond that will be raffled off at the affair. Each of the attendees will receive a glass of champagne that has a diamond in the bottom. Each ticket holder will receive at lease a one caret faux diamond and the lucky winner will have the real deal. The diamond will be approximately one caret in size, round, solitaire , brilliant cut with a clarity of SI and G-H in color. A certified gemologist of the American Certified Diamond Appraisers will be on hand to identify and certify the authenticity of the winning gem.

There will be a limited number of tickets sold so the odds of winning the diamond are very good! Also the elegant evening plans include dancing to music of Deano and the Dreamers, silent auction of trips, art, wine and jewelry, great food and wine.

Proceeds from the event go to support the local American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life and the Rotary Club’s RYLA program. “I was particularly interested in the Relay For Life benefit,” said Mrs. Love. “I have lost three sisters and a mother to the dreaded disease. We all need to help others with this disease today.”

“I am proud of my rotary club, the Rotary Club of Brevard, and all they do to work with the youth in the Rotary Youth Leadership program that is held every year at the Brevard Music Center. Let’s face it, the youth are our future and it is our responsibility to help them with it. RYLA does just that,” said Tracey Love.

Tracey Love is no stranger to supporting our community. “I love Brevard and the people who make up this great city” said Tracey, “and whole heartedly want to give back in any way possible. Since the mid eighty’s I have tried to find avenues and outlets to become a force in helping others and being involved in the betterment of our community and its residents.”

Tracey has been no stranger to many organizations in Brevard, such as; Davidson-River Lions club, Brevard Jaycees, past nine years as a member of the Rotary Club of Brevard, eight as an officer including two as President. She has served on various boards including four years as Elected City Council Officer, served on WCCA (Western Carolina Community Action), six years on the North Carolina Jewelers Association, six years on board of Heart of Brevard of which two of those years as their president, Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce, Communities in Schools Program, Chair of the City of Brevard Alcohol Beverage Control, and Treasurer for the North Transylvania Fire/Rescue Department.

“I am thrilled to be part of the Sparkles and Champagne. I helped do a similar fundraiser a number of years ago and it was a big success. This one will be too.”

Limited number of tickets are on sale at Love’s Jewelry, Falls Landing Restaurant, and Connestee Falls Clubhouse. Additional information can be had by calling Jennifer Webb at Connestee Falls at 884-5622.
