The excitement is building and the bears are getting anxious to go to their new homes.
The bears have been positioned on the streets of Historic Downtown Hendersonville for months, and on October 21st bidder registration, tasty eats and live entertainment will begin. Music will be performed by the Berlyn Trio. The live auction begins at 5:00 pm. Wine and cheese provided by The Poe House will be available for purchase.

This year’s bears represented a host of non-profits, including some familiar names and some not so familiar to the Bearfootin’ Public Art Walk. Each bear represents a different non-profit. These proceeds directly support the variety of local non-profits each bear represents along with the City of Hendersonville’s Downtown Program which hosts and produces the annual Bearfootin’ Public Art Walk.
If you can’t attend the live auction but would like to bid on a bear, you can be assigned an on-site bidder for you. All you have to do is pick your favorite bear, establish a maximum bid and forward the proxy bidder form to [email protected].
