Flat Rock Playhouse Presents Beehive: The 60s Musical

Grab your go-go boots and step back in time when the hair was bigger, the clothes were brighter, and the music was bewitching! The Flat Rock Playhouse presents the all-women cast of Beehive: The 60s Musical through Oct. 30th.

Continuing the fall season, the production will run through October 30th at the Clive and Nina Allen Mainstage in the village rock of Flat Rock.

Written and compiled by Larry GallagherBeehive: the 60s Musical features songs like “It’s My Party,” “Proud Mary,” and “My Boyfriend’s Back,” chronologically orchestrated for a journey through the music of the 60s. This production will transport you through a time of change, social unrest, and girl power as it comes to the forefront of society.

The cast brings a whole lot of R-E-S-P-E-C-T staring the vocal stylings of Shaleah Adkisson,Alexis Sims, DaNyel Fulton, Galen Crawley, Merrill Pieffer and Nicole Winter.

The live music will be brought by a six-part band consisting of Alex Shields as the Music Director and on piano, Paul Babelay on drums, Daniel Iannuci on bass, Bill Altman playing guitar, Chris Imhoff on trumpet, and Wes Parker playing saxophone will bring this rocking music to life.

Beehive: the 60s Musical will be directed by Lisa K. Bryant. The show will be choreographed by Amy Jones with Alex Shields as the Music Director. Adam Goodrum will serve as Production Manager. CJ Barnwell, Leeanne Deaver, Kurt Conway serves as Light, Costume, and Sound Design respectively. Bill Muñoz serves as Stage Manager with Lindsey A. Moss as Assistant Stage Manager.

Beehive: the 60s Musical is presented by the Mainstage Series Sponsor, Henderson County Tourism Development Authority joined by BMW of Asheville as Opening Night Sponsor. The Executive Producer of Beehive: the 60s Musical is John Cox and Peter Parry.

Beehive: the 60s Musical will run  through October 30th at Flat Rock Playhouse’s Clyde and Nina Allen Mainstage. Performances Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30PM, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at8:00PM, matinees Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday at 2:00PM.
