Wingate University Singers to Perform Benefit Concert in Hendersonville

The Wingate University Singers and Chamber Choir will travel to five North Carolina cities this month before concluding their annual Winter Tour on the campus in Wingate.

The concert will feature a varied repertoire ranging from Monteverdi and J. S. Bach to South African folksongs. “This program is geared to those who love choral music as well as the casual listener,” Potter said. “The students are working hard to develop an engaging experience for the audience.”

They will perform on Saturday, March 12th at 7:00 pm at Immaculate Conception Church in downtown Hendersonville.

There is no admission charge but donations will be accepted at the concert to help fund The Free Clinics. The nonprofit clinics rely on private contributions to provide a range of health care for people who have low incomes or do not have medical insurance.
