All proceeds from the event will benefit Brevard’s Sharing House, which provides assistance and food for Brevard families. Sharing House works to alleviate households struggling to provide food, especially during the holidays.
The run will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the front steps of the Brevard College J.A. Jones Library. The race route will loop around campus three times to complete a 5K distance (3.1 miles) and end at the library steps. Volunteers will be at marker points on the route for direction assistance, and a clock will be provided for individual times. Awards will be given based on age groups, and water and snacks will be provided.
The event also gives participants the opportunity to donate non-perishable canned food items, give monetary gifts, or purchase $2.00 event bracelets to support Sharing House.
Pre-register online or register on the event day starting at 9:00 a.m. The race fee is $10 or 10 cans of non-perishable food.
