Henderson County Animal Services Receives 2014 NAC Achievement Award

Congratulations to the Henderson County Animal Services Department for receiving a 2014 Achievement Award from the National Association of Counties!

The Animal Services Department’s “Adopt a Dog, Train a Dog, Retain a Dog” program qualified for the award in the category for Civic Education and Public Information.

The award is a certificate that was presented to the department at the July 16, 2014 Board of Commissioner’s Meeting and a graphic that was developed for the winners so that they can publicize the accomplishment on the county’s website and other promotional material.

Any Henderson County resident can participate in these training sessions by calling the shelter at (828) 697-4723 for the schedule. What an honor for the hard-working staff and volunteers of the Henderson County Animal Services Department.
