Community Foundation of Henderson County
A small group of concerned local citizens established the Community Foundation of Henderson County in 1983. They wanted to ensure Henderson County, North Carolina would continue to flourish during their lifetimes and long into the future. The Foundation receives gifts, endowments and bequests from individuals, families, businesses and organizations. The income from these funds is used to make grants to qualified agencies and institutions primarily serving the people of Henderson County, North Carolina.

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina
The Community Foundation of Western North Carolina is a nonprofit organization that has served the mountain region since 1978 by professionally managing charitable funds created by individuals and families, and by using those funds to make grants that address the changing needs of our 18-county region.

Consumer Credit Counseling Service works to help individuals and families in financial/ housing crisis in Henderson County to be able to meet their financial obligations, stabilize their housing, develop money management skills and avoid bankruptcy.
